Environmental Policy
At WRC, we are committed to conducting our commercial recycling business in a responsible and sustainable manner, with the goal of protecting the environment and conserving the world's resources. As custodians of these resources, we understand the importance of passing on our inheritance to future generations.
To achieve this, we have integrated environmental stewardship principles, programs, techniques, and practices into our dynamic Environmental Management System, which guides our managers and staff in the performance of their duties. We comply with all applicable laws and regulations, embrace environmental management through the commitment of our Management and Board of Directors, and communicate our Environmental Policy to all employees and the public.
We strive to conserve energy and materials, eliminate pollution through process improvement, and educate and train our employees to work in an environmentally responsible manner. We seek new methods and technological developments to improve our Environmental Management System, document environmental protection improvement objectives, and track their achievement. We also utilize systematic environmental performance evaluation procedures and audit and report our environmental performance to the Chief Executive Officer.
In addition, we implement any corrective actions necessary to protect human health and the environment, assess potential impacts to the environment before commencing new business activities, and plan for emergency situations through established preparedness and response procedures. We encourage responsible environmental behavior by suppliers and contractors, produce products that will not harm humans or the environment when used for their intended purposes, and support continuing improvement in our environmental performance.
Finally, we share new and improved environmental protection technology with industry and the public to the extent consistent with competitive considerations. We commit to this Environmental Policy and accept the responsibility of the continuing task of conducting our business and operating our facilities in an exemplary manner that protects the natural environment and conserves the world's resources.

Quality Policy
World Resources Company (WRC) has been dedicated to sustainable recycling practices for nearly five decades, establishing itself as a premier global recycler of metal-bearing wastewater treatment sludges and associated recyclable materials. Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Jackson, Wyoming, our company has consistently focused on sustainability and responsible business practices.
Our expertise in environmental risk management and recycling has enabled us to make a significant impact on waste recycling and management strategies within the industry. As we continue to evolve in response to environmental challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to finding innovative solutions that benefit both our clients and the planet. WRC's mission is to create a cleaner, more sustainable future for generations to come.
Energy Policy
Our Path
Sustainability means preserving finite nonrenewable resources indefinitely without negatively impacting the environment or depleting natural resources and non-renewable resources, while meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Founding Principles
In 1976, a founding principle of WRC was that each generation is the custodian, rather than the absolute “owner” of the world’s resources and thus we are all obliged to pass on this inheritance. WRC therefore, conducts all aspects of its business in an eco-friendly manner using innovative methods coupled with energy efficient processes with 100% renewable wind-generated power.
Environmental Management
The inherent nature of the WRC environmental management and recycling business helps guarantee long-term energy security as well as provide the necessary stewardship for an important and strategic group of metal and mineral resources. The concept of sustainability is a critical factor, therefore, for society now and for future generations. Resource recycling and energy conservation are inextricably linked to sustainability through the careful preservation and conservation of resources.
Critical Link
WRC recognizes and embraces the environmental management achievements and energy-saving accomplishments of customers and suppliers as well as their commitment to recycling. WRC is privileged to be an integral component of their value chain management system. Sustainability mandates the “green” practice of recycling, and recycling ensures that we will meet our present resource and energy needs without having to compromise our needs for the future.
Our Mission
Sustainability is more than just an ethical and ecological proposition; it is the mission of our company and is exemplified by the company’s Environmental Policy, Energy Conservation and Sustainability Policy, Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Quality Policy and Environmental, Social Responsibility and Governance (ESG) Policy.
